Ember – Orlando, FL

Ember has created the spark that Downtown Orlando needed.  Ember is a bar and restaurant that has taken over the old Kate O’Brians Irish Pub.  The masterminds behind Ember are Dirk Farrow, and Doug Taylor who also own other Orlando hotspots like Antigua, Big Belly Brewery, Chillers, Latitudes, and Tryst.  When I first walked into the outdoor area at Ember I felt like I was in a high class Mediterranean themed Las Vegas hotel bar.  Both the indoor and outdoor bars have a clean, polished appearance with Spanish and Mediterranean influence.  Ember plays top 40 type music that sets a high energy fun mood.  I really like the fact that you can show up early and have a bite to eat before you start to party.  You can choose from a variety of items like Boneless Buffalo Chicken or something more exotic like their Asian Beef Skewers.  I think Ember has set the standard in Downtown Orlando.  21 and up with polished casual attire.
